Ann Moorhouse, BACP psychotherapist providing therapy for 20s and 30s online and in Nottinghamshire

Hello, I’m Ann. I’ve been working in the therapy space since 2012. I work integratively, with person-centred roots, which means the way we work together is shaped around you and what you’re experiencing rather than following a fixed programme. I’m a BACP Registered Member and an NCPS Accredited Registrant with an MA in Counselling and Level 5 in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice. I also have specialist training in bereavement which often shows up in my practice as disenfranchised grief, the kind of loss that often doesn’t get recognised or understood but is no less real.

Is this where you find yourself?

Ann Moorhouse, psychotherapist and counsellor, providing therapy for 20s and 30s online and in Nottinghamshire

When you’ve spent your life ticking the right boxes, it’s easy to end up successful on paper but quietly watching your life happen rather than living it. Many of the people I work with look like they have it all together and are high-achieving from the outside, but internally they’re navigating:

  • Decision paralysis: Dread before you make a choice, and then doubted and replayed afterwards.

  • Achievements feeling flat: Reaching for the next milestone just to keep moving, rather than feeling proud of what you've built.

  • Quiet grief & feeling behind: Carrying unspoken loss from a relationship shift, a changing friendship group, or a version of life that didn't turn out as planned while feeling you’re behind compared to everyone else.

  • Feeling like an outsider: Caring deeply about doing things right, but feeling disconnected from what you actually want. Almost like you’re looking at your life from the outside rather than living in it.

It can feel like you can't see the wood for the trees, but you don't have to figure it out alone.

How we can work together

Ready to take the first step?

Reaching out can feel like the hardest part, which is why I keep our initial 15-minute introductory call informal with zero pressure. It’s simply a free, brief chat for us to say hello, discuss what you’re hoping to get out of therapy and get a feel for whether this is the right fit, with me in your corner from that first conversation.

Sessions are £70. I currently offer morning and afternoon slots during the week.
