Taking the first step can feel daunting, so I aim to make our start as comfortable as possible. I offer an free introductory call of up to 30 minutes on Google Meet. This is a chance for us to:
Get to know each other: I’ll listen to your story and what has brought you to therapy.
Identify your goals: We’ll talk about what feels most overwhelming and what you hope to achieve.
Ensure a good fit: therapy is a partnership. This session allows us to see if my supportive energy and integrative style feel like the right match for you.

There is no one size fits all answer. Some clients find that 6 to 12 sessions of focused counselling give them the tools they need. Others prefer the ongoing support of psychotherapy for several months or longer. We will check in regularly to make sure we’re on track and that it feels right for you.

Sessions last 1 hour and are £80. Payment is made before the session via a secure payment link for bank transfer

While the terms are often used interchangeably, there is a slight difference in focus. Counselling is usually shorter-term and focuses on a specific current issue, like a bereavement or a stressful life transition. Psychotherapy tends to go a bit deeper, exploring long-standing patterns or past experiences that shape how you feel today.
Many clients find they start with counselling for a specific issue and move into psychotherapy as they begin to see the bigger picture. I offer both, and we can decide together which approach fits your needs.

Working online is brilliant for those of us who are pushed for time and also enables us to connect with those outside of our geographical area ensuring you can work with the therapist you want rather than the one nearest to you.
I use Google Meet for online sessions so all you need is a reliable internet connection and somewhere private and comfortable to sit.

Walk & Talk Therapy will take place at an easily accessible outdoors space ideal for residents of Rushcliffe including but not limited to Bingham, Radcliffe-on-Trent, Cotgrave, Ruddington and Keyworth.
Nature is rarely perfect and there is often something therapeutic about working through the elements. I generally hold sessions in all weathers and simply ask that you dress appropriately for the conditions (comfy shoes and a waterproof coat are usually best!).
However, in the event of severe weather, we won’t head out and will either have our session online on Google Meet or reschedule for another time that’s convenient for us both. -
