This is a completely free, informal 15-minute chat on Google Meet. There is no pressure to share anything you aren't comfortable with. It is simply a safe space for us to say hello, discuss what you are looking for and see if we are a good fit to work together. You can book directly via my Calendly link or drop me a message here if you prefer to email first.

As an integrative therapist, I specialise in working adults who feel a deep disconnect between how their life looks on the outside and how they are actually feeling on the inside. This often shows up as persistent worry, emotional exhaustion, relationship strain or the heavy weight of recent grief. If you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a loss or just struggling to find your bearings that is exactly what we are here to work through. If you’re facing a specific challenge not mentioned here, our initial free call is a perfect, zero-pressure space to talk through what you need.

While the terms are often used interchangeably, they have a slightl different focus. Counselling is usually shorter-term, helping you work through a specific current issue or a difficult life change. Psychotherapy tends to go a bit deeper, exploring long-standing patterns or past experiences that shape how you feel today. Because I am an integrative therapist, I blend both approaches, and we can decide together what fits your needs best.

Every person’s journey is completely unique. Some clients find that a few weeks of focused counselling give them the practical tools they need to move forward. Others prefer the deeper, ongoing support of psychotherapy over several months. We will check in regularly to review how our work together feels, ensuring you always remind in total control of your care.

Therapy is most effective when it is consistent so I generally recommend meeting weekly, especially at the beginning of our work together. This helps us build momentum and a solid therapeutic relationship. However, I understand that work schedules and personal life can vary, so we can discuss flexibility and what pace feels sustainable for you during our initial intro call.

The initial introductory call is completely free. Following that, standard 50-minute sessions are £60. To keep things simple and secure, payments are made ahead of our session via a direct, secure bank transfer link.

Working online fits seamlessly into a busy schedule and allows you to choose the right therapist for you, rather than just the one closest to you. I use Google Meet for our sessions so all you need is a reliable internet connection and a private, comfortable space where you won’t be interrupted.

Walk & Talk sessions take place in easily accessible outdoor spaces across the Rushcliffe area making it ideal for residents in and around Bingham, Radcliffe-on-Trent, Cotgrave, Ruddington and Keyworth.
Nature is rarely perfect and there is often something therapeutic about working through the elements together. I generally hold sessions in all weathers and simply ask that you dress appropriately for the conditions (comfy shoes and a waterproof coat are usually best!).
However, in the event of severe or unsafe weather, we will simply adapt - either moving our session online via Google Meet or rescheduling for a better time. -
Everything we discuss in both our online and walk & talk sessions is completely confidential adhering to the ethical framework of the BACP and NCPS.
For Walk & Talk therapy, privacy is a priority. We choose quiet, open paths where we can speak freely. Before we ever head outside, we will agree on a simple, discreet plan for exactly what we will do if we cross paths with someone you or I know ensuring you always feel safe, secure and in control or your space. -
That’s ok! All questions are welcome. Please fill in the contact form or email ann@annmoorhouse.com and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Finding the right therapist for you is the most important part of this process.
