Walk & Talk Therapy in Rushcliffe

Space to connect your thoughts, out in the open.

Ann Moorhouse conducting an outdoor walk & talk therapy session on a quiet path in Rushcliffe, South Nottinghamshire.

When you are already feeling emotionally exhausted and overwhelmed sitting face-to-face in a quiet room or staring at a screen can sometimes feel a bit intense.

Choosing Walk & Talk therapy means we take our conversation outside. Physical movement naturally helps to unlock thoughts, ease anxiety and shift big emotions that feel stuck. It allows you to protect a weekly space for genuine reflection using the grounding, stress-lowering benefits of nature to help you hear your own voice again.

I offer focussed outdoor psychotherapy in Rushcliffe and South Nottinghamshire allowing you to step back and find a clearer way forward at your own pace.

How it works

  • The 15-min intro call

We meet briefly via a secure Google Meet link. It’s a free, informal, zero-pressure space to say hello, talk through what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and see if we click.

  • Choosing our path

If we decide to work together, we will find a regular weekly time slot that works for your schedule. Our first full 50-minute session will take place online via Google Meet allowing us to map out your therapeutic goals, complete our safety and location planning and make sure you feel completely prepared before we transition outdoors.

  • Move at your own pace

From our second session onwards we meet at our agreed outdoor location. We use the simple act of walking to help get your thoughts moving in a calm, open environment where you can find your feet again.

Practicalities & Investment

  • Session Length: 50 minutes

  • Frequency: Weekly

  • Investment: £60 per session (payable in advance)

What if the weather is bad?

Nature is rarely perfect, and there is often something incredibly therapeutic about working through the elements together. I generally hold sessions in all weathers and simply ask that you dress appropriately for the conditions (comfortable walking shoes and a waterproof coat are usually best!). However, in the event of severe or unsafe weather, we will simply adapt either moving our session online via Google Meet or rescheduling for a better time.

Is our work together confidential? What if we meet someone I know?

Your privacy and comfort are my absolute priorities. We choose quiet, open paths where we can speak freely without being closely overheard. Before our first outdoor session, we will agree on a simple, discreet plan for exactly what we will do if either of us crosses paths with someone we know, ensuring you always feel safe, secure, and in total control of your space.

How fit do I need to be for Walk & Talk therapy?

This is not an exercise class or a power-walk; the movement is simply there to help ground you and get your thoughts flowing. We walk at a gentle, comfortable pace dictated entirely by you. If you want to slow down, or even sit on a bench for a while to unpack something heavy, we can absolutely do that.
