We all have moments where life feels overwhelming; times when you can’t see the wood for the trees. When you’re caught in the middle of a difficult season, it’s hard to know which way to turn or what even matters most.

My goal is to provide a calm, non-judgmental space where we can step back together. By gaining a bit of distance and perspective, we can begin to clear the path forward, helping you reconnect with the bigger picture of your life.

Ann Moorhouse, a professional psychotherapist offering dedicated online and outdoor counselling in Nottingham.

How I work

Whether you are seeking short-term counselling to navigate a specific challenge or longer-term psychotherapy to explore deeper life experiences, I offer a flexible approach. Together, we work completely at your pace moving from immediate relief to lasting, meaningful change.

Using the phrase ‘can’t see the wood for the trees’ in my practice is deeply intentional. I used those exact words myself years ago to explain to my own therapist how overwhelmed I felt by everything happening in my life. I understand firsthand that sometimes you just need a safe space to talk things through, find your feet again and have a professional in your corner cheering you on.

Online Therapy

Online therapy allows you to access professional, focused support from the complete comfort and privacy of your own space. This is often the ideal fit if you have a busy schedule, travel frequently or simply feel at ease in your own familiar surroundings.

How it works: We meet via a secure Google Meet link. All you need is a quiet, comfortable space and a reliable internet connection.

Investment: Sessions last 50 minutes and are £60.

Walk & Talk Therapy

If you want to combine talking therapy with fresh air or if you find it difficult to sit still with your feelings, taking our conversation outside can be incredibly grounding. Physical movement naturally helps to unlock thoughts and emotions that feel stuck.

How it works: We walk side-by-side at a pace that feels entirely comfortable for you, using the beautiful natural spaces across Rushcliffe and South Nottinghamshire as our backdrop. We will agree on our outdoor location during our initial intro call which takes place online via Google Meet so we can meet virtually first.

Investment: Sessions last 50 minutes and are £60.
